Pallet racking

Pallet racking is the most common type of warehouse storage system for palletised goods due to its excellent efficiency. Each and every business has its own requirements, which is why it's important to choose the right system for your business. We recommend speaking to our professionals who will guide you through the best options. Below we've listed the most common types of pallet racking:

Conventional pallet racking
A universal system, allowing direct access to every pallet stored. It can be adapted to any size and weight of pallet, making it the best solution for businesses that use pallets of various sizes.
Drive-in pallet racking
The ideal solution for businesses who store a large number of pallets that contain products with the same SKU. This system is constructed using a series of racking units that come together to form a single lane, using rails to support the pallets.
Live storage pallet racking
An extremely efficient system, using a FIFO (first in, first out) system, reducing pallet handling time. Using an angled roller track and gravity, the live storage racking pallets slide to the front of the system for easy and efficient picking.
Push-back pallet racking
Again, an optimal storage system for storing pallets with the same SKU. Each level can store up to 4 pallets deep and operate using a LIFI (last in, first out) system. All pallets (except the front pallet) are placed on rolling rails and when the front pallet is picked, the remaining pallets will roll forward by utilising gravity.
The layout of a pallet racking system is determined by:
- The characteristics of your forklifts;
- The dimensions and weights of the pallets you’ll be storing on the system, and;
- The dimensions of your storage facility.
Cantilever Racking

Cantilever racking is an open-fronted storage system that's easily accessible and highly efficient for storing long length and bulky items. Quite simply, they're available in either single or double sides systems that can be specified to suit light, medium and heavy duty items depending on the storage requirements - some of our heavy duty systems have held up to 16,000KG UDL.
The typical items that you might store on a cantilever racking system include; pipes, long lengths of timber, steel rods and plasterboard.
